Hibiscus Gardens Reviews

This is our 40th winter St. John visit, the 16th booking with the incomparable Lisa, but our 1st at Hibiscus Gardens. It’s a lovely house, and, like all of Lisa’s, immaculate and well-appointed. Close to town, good neighborhood, but extremely private. The layout is fine for one couple, but would offer privacy for two, as the bedrooms are on opposite ends of the living space. Breezes keep it cool in the afternoon, and it faces north-east so the inside hardly ever gets full sun; this would be especially important in warmer months. Deck & pool mostly shaded for the sun-wary. We rarely used the air conditioning. Outside the back door is a tree with large, fuzzy pink blooms which attract hummingbirds, often more than a dozen at a time in the morning. (1 flight of steps down from parking to house - no wheelchairs.) Like the hummingbirds, we hope to come back.

We couldn't have been more pleased with the property or the service at Hibiscus Garden and Lisa Durgin. Absolutely everything we needed was provided and then some. We are already planning our return to St. John and Hibiscus Garden.

Our week here has been one of the most wonderful, relaxing vacations we've ever had. Hibiscus felt like our home away from home. We enjoyed swimming and snorkeling your pristine beaches and roaming the beautiful island. A fantastic way to celebrate our 49th anniversary with two of our closest friends!

Year #17 for us on St. John and at least our 4th stay here at Hibiscus Garden. We dined twice on the Hibiscus terrace and enjoyed it better than any restaurant in town--until 2011!

We celebrated our 10th anniversary in style with 2 weeks at Hibiscus Gardens. Our 6th trip to St John and our 2nd with 2 1/2 year old son. Hibiscus was beyond perfection for our family. We've stayed at a lot of villas, hotels etc,,, and Hibiscus had everything we needed plus some! We very much appreciated the iPod docker and listened to Tropical music during our many, many hours by the pool... Great Vacation!! Love your home!!

Don't know where to start-- we rent a lot of beach/lake homes and this takes the cake..Comfortable AND beautiful, not a single thing we felt missing..that's a huge compliment! As for St. John -first timer's who plan to be back! We had the perfect mix of eating in and out. Afternoon patio and pool was the highlight of our daily routine!

My huisband and out two adult children love St. John. WE have rented thorugh the years from many companies. The service that Lisa provided exceeds them all. And the villa was just perfect.

What a beautiful villa! The art and accessories were just exactly what you would expect a vacation villa to have. Where do they shop? The kitchen had everything you could want and more. They thought of everything even down the binoculars to check out the view. The views were gorgeous. We loved the spacious deck. The layout was perfect for two couples. The great room was just the right size. You could see the views from inside and see the breathtaking garden area from inside as well. I had breakfast in the garden area and watched the hummingbirds feed and play. I can't say enough about how much we loved this place. The pictures do not do it, or the view justice. Thanks so much for such a lovely home away from home. The perfect vacation getaway!

We spent a wonderful week at Hibiscus Garden. We were met at the dock, shown around the area, given tips on places to eat and shop, and welcomed at the house with hors d'oeuvres, beverages and fresh island flowers! The house was clean and inviting. The balcony was a favorite place to enjoy sunrises and sunsets! What a view! We would highly recommend this rental house.

My husband and I have been travelling to St. John consecutively now for 13 years. We've stayed in large homes, smaller homes, and a condo all over the island. We feel we've found "the one" at Hibiscus Gardens.
It's close to town with a spectacular view. The amenities in the kitchen are superb and the bedrooms and bathrooms are most comfortable. The A/C is both used and appreicated!
Simply put, it's a pleasure to stay at Hibiscus Gardens and I don't forsee staying anywhere else.
